Tahini Tempest

Make this ultra-creamy spinach smoothie for your summer sustenance with banana, tahini and lemon.

INGREDIENTS

1 Cup spinach leaves

1 Cup unsweetened almond or hemp milk

1 Medium frozen spotty banana, sliced

2 Tablespoons tahini

1-2 Teaspoons maple syrup

1/2 Teaspoon lemon zest

GARNISH

Drizzle of tahini, toasted sesame seed, lemon zest and cut banana slices.

DIRECTIONS

1. Add all the ingredients into a blender and blitz on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds.

2. Pour into a glass and garnish with sesame seeds, some lemon zest and cut bananas.

Enjoy instantly.

TAHINI is made from a paste of sesame seeds.  It's highly nutritious, has anti-inflammatory compounds, can strengthen the nervous system and is rich in anti-oxidents.
